Planning a Hartford, CT wedding while in Portland, OR proved to have some challenges, but any concerns about the ceremony were allayed as soon as I had the good fortune to find Rev. Achala’s website among those who officiate interfaith ceremonies.
Over the course of several weeks, we clarified our vision through emails and via phone and, having an understanding of how ceremonies flow smoothly, he guided us towards an event that was meaningful, personal and enjoyable.
When asked about our wedding by friends and family who could not attend, I found myself replying that, walking to where my then-fiancé waited, it was like greeting an old friend in Rev. Achala, who’s natural ease complimented the garden setting and the joyfulness present in all. His presence in our wedding photos is as welcome as any family member.
I can, beyond a doubt, highly recommend his services. Rev. Achala will listen to your ideas (even if they involve singing a Christmas carol chorus!) and honor your individuality while helping to create a genuine and memorable ceremony.
